Giorgio ALBIANI began studying classical guitar in Florence with M.Vetter. He followed courses at the "Istituto Musicale Pareggiato O.Vecchi" in Modena under the guidance of V.Saldarelli and F.Baldissera gaining his leaving diploma with the highest mark and honour. He has followed numerous courses of specialization, among which those taught by A.PONCE and L.BROUWER and contemporary music with A.COMPANY. In 1989 he met A.PONCE who invited him to follow his courses at l'Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris "Alfred CORTOT" where he received the "Diplome d'Exécution" in 1990 and the "Diplome Supérieur d'Exécution" in 1991. He is very active in giving solo concerts in the major European cities (Paris, Lugano, Bologna, Firenze...). He has been a part of the "Ensemble de Guitares de Paris" and has recorded as a soloist for the RAI.
